Hola! I’m Ashely, a first-generation travel content creator. Here you can find —usually videos, occasionally words, but always travel, tips, and thoughts whether it’s funny, relatable, or the deep, vulnerable stuff (my specialty). I’ll give you recommendations and advice, but you can bet it has a personal anecdote.

Desde niña, I fell in love with traveling on our family trips to Cancun. As I grew, my curiosity for life lived elsewhere pulled me more to travel and eventually to my first big solo trip to Bali and later to navigate life abroad in Chile and Barcelona.

Nowadays, my travel is centered around transformative and immersive travel. For me, that means an experience centered around cuisine, culture, people, and the nuances of day-to-day life. Travel is a transformative experience, not by making us the center but by allowing us to immerse ourselves in what we learn and take stock of the changes we go through to make us a better human and traveler.

Since I’m a first-gen Colombian-Ecuadorian-American, I straddled two cultures and language most of my life. That part of my identity is woven into everything I do, especially my travel content. That feeling of ni de aqui ni de alla also fueled my travels to 26 countries (and counting).

Apart from my 7 years of travel experience, I also hold a master’s in Travel Journalism from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where I created my first docuseries, Voces de Nuremberg.

The best way to get to know a creator is to see their content. I recommend starting with my first love, my YouTube channel, specifically the ‘Love Letters to the Cities I’ve Lived’ project, and secondly, the Navigating Life Abroad podcast.

My goal is simple— I hope to inspire you through my content, whether words or videos, to travel (a little) more meaningfully.
